November of possibilities

Facing the unknown. Trying to find the right „diving technique“. Learning about myself and about the others. Experiencing new cultures and enjoying the little adventures. Sharing internationality. That´s how my last weeks looked like. I´d spent them with international group of people in youth centre Marttinen in Finland, doing my short term EVS called „November of possibilities“.

Our adventure started on the 8th of November and ended few days ago. One of the main goals of the project was to share the awareness of international possibilites (and internationality in general) between young people from the area of Pirkanmaa, Finland. That´s why we were working in smaller groups, creating workshops and spending time with the youngsters in many different youth centres and also participated on organising the Open Days of the Marttinen Youth Centre.

It was an amazing opportunity to meet the finnish culture, to cooperate, to know more about youth work structures in Finland, to improve our communication and project management skills and to have fun at the same time. The programe was based also on non-formal and adventure education, self-development activities and teamwork. We had opportunity to do the canoeing, to jump off the bridge, to enjoy sauna every week and to go to the lake or to jacuzzi after it, had caraoke all the time, we were partying, sharing our cultures and simply having fun. A great time together!!

Guys, I want to thank you for the whole project again. You´re amazing just the way you are and everyone inspired me in a different way. It was pleasure to meet you and share the time with you. Take care. ;)
